Made to measure in Brisbane

Keep the daylight. Soften the view.

Sheer curtains filter light through an open weave, softening the view of the window while letting the room stay bright. They suit living rooms, dining areas and wide sliding doors where you want a softer finish without a heavy curtain. Amir brings samples to your Brisbane home to compare how much you can see through each fabric in your own light. Your curtains are then made to measure in our Jindalee workroom.

During your consultation we balance appearance, light, privacy, heat, operation and budget before anything is ordered.

What we resolve togetherEvery choice has a reason.

Compare fabric transparency in your own light

Choose the heading, fullness and finished drop

Plan room for curtains to stack beside doors

Add a separate privacy layer where needed

Choose how your sheers look and hang.

We will bring a focused selection to your consultation, then help you compare the finish and performance in the actual room.

S-fold sheers

Regular waves run from the track to the floor. We plan the heading spacing and fullness with the track so the folds sit evenly when open or closed.

Textured sheer fabrics

Fine weaves give a light, airy finish; slubs and more visible textures bring another layer of detail. Compare the samples close up and against the window before choosing.

Sheers with blockout curtains

Two independently operated layers let you enjoy filtered daylight and close the opaque layer at night. The combined track depth and stack space need to be planned together.

Motorised sheer curtains

A compatible motorised track can make wide or hard-to-reach sheers easier to use. Discuss power, curtain weight and controls before the track is ordered.

Also worth knowing

Daytime privacy is only part of the decision.

A sample against your window tells you more than a colour swatch viewed on a screen. We help you check the practical details before committing to a fabric.

Check the view from outside

Sheers can screen the view when it is brighter outside than inside. After dark, with the lights on indoors, that relationship changes and people may see in. Choose an opaque second layer where night-time privacy matters.

Leave room for the stack

Fabric still occupies space when the curtains are open. The track can sometimes extend beyond the glazing to keep a doorway or more of the view clear, depending on the walls and furniture.

Choose your finished length

A floor-skimming finish looks different from fabric resting on the floor. Consider cleaning, pets, floor levels and door access when deciding the drop, rather than relying on a standard ready-made length.

Ask about fabric care

Cleaning instructions vary with the fabric and construction. Follow the selected fabric's care guidance and ask before washing or dry-cleaning; a sheer's delicate appearance does not tell you its care requirements.

Before we visit

About sheer curtains in brisbane.

Still deciding? Call Amir on 0403 112 972 for straightforward advice.

Do sheer curtains provide privacy at night?

Sheers alone are not a reliable night-time privacy layer. When the room is lit and it is dark outside, people may be able to see through them. Pair sheers with a blockout curtain or an appropriate blind if privacy after dark matters.

What is the difference between sheer and blockout curtains?

Sheers allow light through their weave and soften the view. Blockout fabric or lining is opaque, providing stronger light control and privacy. A double track lets you use each layer separately, although light can still enter around the edges of a curtain installation.

Are sheer curtains suitable for sliding doors?

Yes, provided the track position, draw direction and fabric stack leave suitable access to the door. We measure the whole opening and check furniture and handles as part of the design.

How much do made-to-measure sheer curtains cost?

The quote depends on the fabric, window width and drop, fullness, track and installation. Motorisation and an additional blockout layer change the scope. Amir can measure your windows and show sample options during a free in-home consultation.

Can I see sheer fabric samples at home in Brisbane?

Yes. Prestige brings suitable fabric samples to your home so you can compare colour, texture and transparency at the window. We are based in Jindalee and visit Brisbane and Ipswich; contact Amir to confirm availability in your suburb.
